relaxation

What is relaxation? How do you get the 'right amount' of it in your life?

How do you make it useful and regular and worth the effort?

These questions and more are explored in this webinar/worshop

This webinar/workshop is about understanding that it's not enough to know that we want relaxation in our lives, we need to know what it means for us, where we're most likely to find it in our lives, and how to notice and create more moments of relaxation in a realistic and sustainable way. It offers:

  • dedicated time, structured exercises and guided conversation designed to support individuals to explore their own definition of relaxation and how this fits into the context of their lives

  • evidence based theory, tools and strategies to take away and use in everyday life

  • the opportunity to look at things from a different perspective

Sometimes in the busyness of everyday life, it can be hard to stop and take a minute to think about how we’re feeling or consider if there’s a satisfying balance to our routines. We all know when something is missing, and often, with the pressures of life, that thing is regularly doing something we find relaxing.

This 2 hour webinar/workshop explores individual understanding of what relaxation means in the context of everyday life.

How often do we all think:

  • I don’t know how to find the time to relax

  • Why can’t I relax even when I’m taking some time out- I can’t seem to switch off my brain!

  • Life is getting stressful and I’m not sure what to do about it

And yet... we don't have the time to work out the answers. And so the cycle of not enough relaxation and too much stress continues.

The truth is that relaxing isn’t as easy as telling yourself “RELAX”. It's more complex, more individual and needs to fit in for you in your life. That's why sometimes, self-care is more attainable if it’s about finding five minutes peace every day rather than a spa day that takes lots of organising, or a long walk in the countryside that takes you out of home or work life for a whole day.

Whatever your image of relaxation is, this webinar/workshop is here to help you work out how to make that image fit into your daily life.
